John C. Wilson’s passion for emergency medical services started at Davidson-Davie Community College, where he earned his associate degree in the field. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Western Carolina University and a master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.

John has served as an EMT, a paramedic and a chief. That mix of education and hands-on experience shapes how he guides and develops the next generation of EMS professionals.

In 2022, John founded EMS Wizard, a DBA of Meducate, Inc., to close the gap in EMS leadership and management education in North Carolina. He serves as Chief Academic Officer for the Cherokee Tribal EMS Program and as EMS Program Director at Central Carolina Community College.
